August Health Co. (“August Health,” “we,” “our,” or “Organizer”) looks forward to welcoming you to our events and related activities (each, an “Event”). By registering for, attending, or participating in any Event (whether in person or virtually), you agree to these Participation Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), along with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Event Terms”).
- Access to Events
You may be required to register or obtain a ticket to attend an Event. Access is granted at our discretion, and we may modify, reschedule, or cancel an Event at any time. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws in connection with your participation. Attendance is voluntary and at your own risk. - Refund Policy
All sales are non-refundable. If an Event is rescheduled, your registration will be honored for the new date. If an Event is canceled, we will issue a full refund and provide instructions. - Use of Likeness
Photography, audio, and video recording may occur at Events. By attending, you grant August Health and its representatives a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use your name, image, voice, and biographical information (“Appearance”) in any media for promotional and related purposes, without compensation.
If you prefer that your Appearance not be published or shared, you may notify us at events@augusthealth.com prior to or following the Event, and we will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.
- Personal Information
We may collect and use your personal information to organize and operate Events, including sharing it with trusted vendors and service providers supporting the Event.
We may also share attendee information (such as name, title, company, and contact details) with Event sponsors and partners as part of co-hosted or collaborative events. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to this sharing.
You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time via unsubscribe links or by contacting events@augusthealth.com. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
- Event Conduct
We are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive environment. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. We may remove any participant at our discretion.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Unlawful activity.
- Bringing weapons, illegal substances, or hazardous materials.
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.
- Recording or photographing other participants without consent.
- Misrepresentation, fraud, or attempts to improperly obtain personal or confidential information.
- Unauthorized access to restricted areas or systems.
You must follow all venue rules and safety requirements.
- Event Content and Materials
Events may include presentations, discussions, or materials from third parties. We do not control or endorse such content and make no representations as to its accuracy or completeness.
Nothing presented at an Event constitutes professional advice (including medical, financial, legal, or tax advice), and you should not rely on it as such.
Events and materials are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- Intellectual Property
All Event materials provided by August Health (“Content”) remain our property. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use such Content solely in connection with the Event.
If you provide feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use it for any purpose.
If you share materials or projects during an Event, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them for Event-related and promotional purposes. You represent that you have the right to share such materials.
- Health and Safety
You acknowledge that attending events involves inherent risks, including exposure to communicable illnesses. You assume responsibility for your participation and agree to follow applicable health and safety guidelines. - Representations
You represent that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to agree to these Terms, and will comply with all applicable laws and Event rules. - Third-Party Offerings
Events may include information about third-party products or services. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for such offerings or any interactions you have with third parties. - Waiver and Severability
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our rights. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. - Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in San Francisco, California, under the Federal Arbitration Act. The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding. The prevailing party will be entitled to reasonable attorneys’ fees. - Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless August Health and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to your participation in an Event or your violation of these Terms. - Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, August Health and its representatives will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to an Event. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to attend the Event. - General
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may update these Terms from time to time with notice. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and August Health regarding Events.
