August Health now integrates with Inspiren, an AI-powered care ecosystem for senior living communities that unifies resident safety, care planning, staff optimization, and emergency response in a single platform.
This first phase connects the two systems at the census level, with resident names and room assignments flowing from August Health into Inspiren automatically, so care teams don't have to maintain that roster in two places.
"When a resident moves in or transfers rooms, this integration keeps their core data current in Inspiren without additional data entry by staff. Maintaining data integrity while reducing administrative and cognitive load on staff is a win for all." — Liz Jensen, Sr. Director of Care Innovation & Nursing Success, August Health
August Health is the system of record for senior living care — where communities manage health records, care plans, medications, incident documentation, and the operational data that informs billing and staffing.
How Inspiren Supports Resident Safety
Inspiren's AUGi platform uses passive, in-room sensors to support resident monitoring in senior living communities, while their Sense system can detect motion and activity patterns in bathrooms without requiring cameras.
Residents can initiate an emergency call using Inspiren’s Help Button or wearable Resident Pendants.
With Staff Beacon, communities can leverage wearables to help staff track care time per resident, and auto-resolve AUGi alerts when they enter a room.
Taken all together, the Inspiren ecosystem generates invaluable data that care teams can use to monitor resident well-being and respond to changes in condition. Communities use Inspiren to extend care oversight during overnight hours, track behavioral trends over time, and support fall detection and prevention workflows.
What's Connected Right Now
The integration syncs resident census data from August Health to Inspiren on a daily basis. It passes the Person ID, resident name, and room assignment — the foundational context that Inspiren needs to tie monitoring activity to the right individual.
When a resident moves in, their profile is created in Inspiren automatically. When they transfer to a different room, Inspiren reflects that change. When a resident discharges, the update carries through. Staff don't need to maintain a separate roster in Inspiren or reconcile the two systems — August Health keeps Inspiren current.
This matters most in the moments when staff attention is already stretched: a busy move-in day, a late-night room transfer, a discharge during a shift change. The integration handles the census update so it doesn't become a gap in monitoring coverage.
"August Health's integration architecture made it easy to build a reliable, accurate connection. Census sync ensures every alert and insight is tied to the right person and room. Next, we're building a fully bidirectional integration so both systems stay in sync and create a complete, unified record of care. We're glad to partner with a team that takes data quality as seriously as we do." — Dominique Simoneau-Ritchie, CTO, Inspiren
Where This Partnership Is Headed
This initial unidirectional integration is the only first step in an ongoing technology partnership between August Health and Inspiren — a partnership both companies are committed to deepening with time.
