August Health Platform Updates
Our Winter 2026 updates introduce smart automation across your daily work, from tracking required assessments and adjusting resident rates, to scanning medication barcodes and communicating with pharmacies. Scroll to explore our updates or watch the highlight reel.
Major new releases from August Health
Available soon: Voice AI for caregivers
Caregivers who find ADL tracking cumbersome will love that they can now chart with their voice. Simply tap the mic button, speak in your native language, and we’ll mark ADLs as completed or exceptions. A quick approval step saves many clicks along the way.

Intelligent sub-assessments
Never miss a secondary assessment again. If a resident is evaluated as needing additional assessments, you’ll be automatically prompted to complete the appropriate secondary assessment. Once triggered, secondary assessments can run on their own schedule and be monitored for compliance on the community Compliance page.

Available soon: Automatic rate adjustments
Billing recommendations automate adjustments to billed rates for residents on their move-in anniversary. Simply review and approve without keeping a separate calendar!

Tax letters made easy
Provide your residents with a tax letter that they can give to their tax preparer showing a summary of the transactions they were billed for in the previous year. We allow bulk generation, download, and emailing of tax letters directly from within August Health Billing & Payments.

Med Pass barcode scanning
Scan barcodes when passing to mark them as given and reduce med errors by catching when the wrong bottle or bubble pack was picked up. Have residents who are receiving meds from a non-integrated pharmacy? We’ll let you manually link their barcodes too!

Real-time pharmacy updates
We'll automatically notify your pharmacy if your team rejects or discontinues a medication. August Health can also alert the pharmacy of new move-ins, move-outs, and key demographic changes to keep their medication lists up-to-date.

We’re looking for every opportunity to make senior care easier

Additional score types in your assessment
Incorporate additional levels or scores within your main assessment, such as evaluating residents for fall risk by calculating a fall risk score using your existing questions.

Get the context behind move-outs
Now, in addition to tracking where a resident is going after move-out, you can track why they’re leaving with new fields for move-out reasons.

Add SSNs to your face sheets
We can turn on a feature that shows the last four digits of your residents’ social security numbers on their face sheets.
Bowel Movement Tracking Enhancements
We found new ways to improve BM tracking, like adding the ability to track consistency. And, as always, you can track BMs in offline mode.

Take vitals in Care Track
Prompt caregivers to take vitals in Care Track while assisting residents with ADLs. Those vitals will flow through into the resident chart.

One-time payments
Capture one-time payments through the move-in workflow. If you take a deposit or a community fee, you can now share a task to allow the resident’s payer to submit payment via ACH or credit card.

QuickBooks Online integration
A quickstart integration that connects your August Health Billing & Payments and QuickBooks Online accounts to create and update Journal Entries, finalizing them when you close the books each month in August Health.

Occupancy dashboard now embedded within Billing & Payments
Billing & Payments users without broader access to Insights now have access to our powerful Occupancy reporting dashboard.

Highlight missed meds from prior med pass
Improve compliance and reduce holes in your MAR. We now highlight missed meds from the prior med pass directly from within the med pass flow.

Download PDFs of inventory logs
If you’re using our controlled count feature, you can now easily print the inventory log for any medication order.
